We collect the minimum information required to provide the Coinle loyalty service:

• Phone number — used for account creation and OTP login
• Name and city — provided voluntarily to personalise your experience
• Transaction amount and merchant UPI ID — received from GPay payment confirmation to credit loyalty coins
• UPI reference number — stored to prevent duplicate coin credits
• App usage data — screen visits and feature usage to improve the app

Coinle uses a QR scan + UPI deep link approach to verify payments. No SMS permission is required for normal use.

• Primary method: You scan the merchant QR inside Coinle → Coinle opens GPay/PhonePe → GPay confirms payment success directly back to Coinle. No SMS involved.
• Verification: Coinle creates a unique order ID before opening GPay. GPay returns the payment result to Coinle via a secure deep link callback.
• No bank credentials: Coinle never sees your bank account details, UPI PIN, or payment app credentials at any point.
• No SMS read: The current version of Coinle does not request SMS permission. All payment verification happens through GPay's official callback mechanism.

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
• Your phone number is never shared with merchants or third parties
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• Access to our database is restricted to authorised Coinle team members only
• We use Supabase infrastructure with enterprise-grade security

• We do not sell your data to any third party
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not read your personal or private SMS messages
• We do not track your location
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone
• We do not process or hold any payment funds

We share limited data only in the following cases:

• Merchants — your name is visible when a transaction occurs at their shop. Your phone number is not shared.
• MSG91 — our OTP provider receives your phone number to send login OTPs. They do not receive any other data.
• Legal requirements — if required by law or court order, we may disclose information to authorities.

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction — update your name or city at any time from the app
• Deletion — request complete deletion of your account and data by emailing privacy@coinle.in
• Opt out — delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@coinle.in. All your data will be permanently removed.

If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we will notify users via a notification in the Coinle app at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the app after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
